M R Miller Painting runs every job out of Lago Drive in La Quinta, down at the south end of the Coachella Valley under the Santa Rosa Mountains. It is a useful place to work from. Highway 111 runs the length of the valley through Indian Wells, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City and Palm Springs, the I-10 corridor carries us east to Indio and Coachella, and Bermuda Dunes sits just north of Washington Street on the way out.
Every one of those towns gets the same contractor. Michael Miller has held a California license since 1989, he does the work himself, and the person who looks at your slab is the person who grinds it and coats it. Straight answers about floors and paint in the desert
How far do you travel for a job?
The whole Coachella Valley. Palm Desert, Indio, Indian Wells, Bermuda Dunes, Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs, Cathedral City and Coachella, plus La Quinta itself. Call and tell us where you are and we will give you a straight answer.
Do you charge more for towns further from La Quinta?
No. The number on your estimate is the number for the job wherever you are inside the valley. If a property is genuinely too far out for us to look after properly, we will tell you that up front instead of quoting it and hoping.
Is it the same contractor in every town?
Yes. Michael Miller owns the business and does the work himself, so the person who looks at your garage in Indio or Palm Springs is the person who grinds the slab and lays the coats. Nobody gets handed off.
Can you work inside a gated or country club community?
Yes. A large share of the valley sits behind a gate, and most of those communities set rules about working hours, parking, noise and contractor access. Tell us the community when you call and we will sort out the paperwork and book the work to fit their window.
Do you work through the summer?
Yes. Garage floors, interior painting and kitchen cabinets are all indoor work, so summer heat is a scheduling question rather than a stop. Floors go down early in the day, because a desert garage gets very hot by the afternoon.
Can you do the work while we are away for the summer?
That is a good window and plenty of valley owners use it. A lot of homes here empty out for the hot months and fill again in the fall. Arrange access before you leave, and we will keep you posted with photos while the job runs so there is no surprise when you get back.
